The Rio Tico Safari Lodge is located in the interior of the southern Pacific coast, about 4 km from the village of Vergel de Punta Mala and 6 km from the beach. It is surrounded by rainforest and mountains between the Marino Ballena and Corcovado National Parks. The 9 safari tents stand on wooden platforms in a tropical garden on the banks of a crystal clear river and are spacious and comfortably furnished. Each has a fan, mosquito nets, an attached bathroom and a terrace with great views of the river. A variety of outdoor activities are available in the area, including hiking trails in the rainforest, horseback riding, a dip in the river's natural pool, and visiting a nearby waterfall.
