Turtle Beach Lodge is located about 5 miles north of the village of Tortuguero, on the northern Caribbean coast, on 175 acres of rainforest including jungle trails and canals. It is situated directly on the beach and offers 50 airy bungalows with comfortable beds, ceiling fans, safe, cool tiled floors, private baths and wide, screened windows. Other features of this hotel include Wi-Fi in public areas, the extensive tropical garden with medicinal and crop plants, buffet-style restaurant offering regional cuisine, pool-side bar, thatched roof pool bar, open-air swimming pool with sun loungers to soak up some sun, and a hammock hut.
